豫剧板胡是豫剧乐队中的主要领奏乐器，俗称主弦。它有一套独特的弓法运行。一般讲拉弓开始，推弓结束。曲中强拍或强位置的音都须使用推弓演奏，弱拍或弱位置的音一般都须拉弓演奏。当然若曲中需要特别强调的重音强音，一定使用拉弓或抖弓。譬如滚白过门中的几个强音3″′－－－2″′－－－5″′－－－1″′－－－必须使用拉弓加抖弓才能演奏出乐曲的悲壮情绪。还有譬如二八过门中的| 2555 5555 |这两拍音乐同样需使用拉弓演奏，才能奏出效果。但是按照一字一弓的方法演奏下去却又违反了强音位置为推弓的一般规律，这就需要拉弓之后立即进行弓法调整。可以利用加字的方法把它演奏成| 2_55__55 5555 |这就形成了即运用拉弓把旋律的音头强有力的演奏出来，加字后的乐句时值不变而效果却达到了作曲家创作的初衷。拉弓调整为推弓一般有三种方法；1.加字演奏如上例，2.抖弓演奏。1． 2 7 6 可以演奏成 1. 22 7 6 。3.连弓演奏如：| 3 2 3 5 |可演奏成 | 3 2 3 5 |的效果。总之一旦强拍或强位置出现拉弓现象就可以利用这三种方法来调整，不能连续出现违反规律的现象。弓法技巧分为：分弓，连弓，抖弓（颤弓），断弓，顿弓。弓法上来讲一般采用一字一弓和两字一弓交替使用，三四字一弓演奏很少。跳跃轻巧的音用断弓，短促重音用顿弓，时长强音用抖弓（颤弓）。总之，豫剧板胡在伴奏中没有很多高难度的弓法技巧，只要养成拉弓开始，推弓结束，强位置推弓，再加上三种调整弓法的方法运用，可以说你的弓法没问题了。但指法技巧很重要是每一个伴奏员绝不能忽视的。
